I love seeing my daughter with a new toy, but there was this one instance that she was given a noisy- obnoxious musical set which includes a plastic drum set, an electric guitar, an out of tuned piano with no volume control and a microphone that really changes voice into high pitch-I sometimes can’t hear myself. What were the manufacturers thinking?
All the while I thought that, toys could help parents have some peace and quiet time, while their little ones enjoy playing with their toys. However, there are just some noisy toys that we can’t really stand-the kind of toys that give you a terrible headache. It’s so annoying that you just want to get rid of it. Admit it, you also been through this…
As far as I know, there are a lot of toys sold in the market which are cheap, doesn’t went through a thorough research before producing it and makes this really loud sound, the kind that bugs you down and make you crazy. Here are some of the toys I know of:
Ok, I want to support my daughter’s inclination to music but please with plastic drums banging loud-just thinking about it gives me a headache.
This microphone distorts voices, and as 1 year olds they are the best “copy cat”, imitating every word you say with the use of this microphone especially when my she starts shouting, the shrill voice coming from the microphone, just drives me crazy.
Lawnmower and the Corn Popper Toy
I know, 1 year old needs a push and pull toy to develop their gross motor skills, but I will not recommend these toys. The lawnmower has a fake engine sound that is so irritating to the ears and the corn popper, produces horrible sound that I just can’t stand.
Musical Electronic Toys
Not all musical toys can be irritating, but most are, especially when they are played very often, in the morning, at lunch, in the evening… in the playroom, in the living room, in the bed room in the car… do you get what I mean?
